One-hour copywriting & brand strategy session
Next Friday is my birthday. There will be cake. Or very likely Basque cheesecake because I’ll be in Barcelona meeting my son, who’s been studying in London for the semester. I’m rarely away, if ever, on my birthday. So in honor of doing something I never do…
My gift to both of us

Every year on my birthday I think about what I want.
A fully funded retirement.
Straight hair that never frizzes.
A funny, smart and handsome man who thinks he’s the lucky one.
You know, normal stuff.
But this year, what I want is to spend time doing the work I love most — which is sitting across from someone (virtually counts) and helping them figure something out. This is my jam!
So here's what I'm doing.
I'm opening 10 spots for a one-hour session with me. Come with whatever is stuck. Your bio, your LinkedIn, your positioning, your elevator pitch — or a business problem you can't see your way out of, a career decision you've been going back and forth on, a strategy you need a second brain on. We'll dig in and you'll leave with clarity, revised copy, or both.
I never do this anymore. My work is usually done through workshops, courses, and longer engagements. But it's my birthday and I make the rules.
Here’s what you can bring
Copy that isn't working — bio, LinkedIn headline, About section, positioning statement, resume, cover letter, email sequence, lead magnet (you get the picture).
A sticky business or career problem you need to think through out loud.
A brand or messaging question you can't quite crack on your own.
Anything that's been sitting on your to-do list long enough to feel embarrassing.
You leave with something resolved.
Revised copy, a clear direction, a decision made — whatever you came in needing.
The scoop
10 spots. $349. First come, first served.
Sessions must be used by June 1.
If this has been on your list since your last job change, this is your sign.
Happy almost-birthday to me.
Go get your spot.
Can I hire a copywriter for just one hour to fix my LinkedIn bio or About page?
Yes — and that's exactly what this is. One hour, one problem, you walk away with revised copy or a clear direction. No long retainer, no big commitment. Just focused work on whatever's been stuck.
What can I actually get done in a one-hour copywriting or branding session?
More than you'd think. In 60 minutes you can nail a LinkedIn headline, rework a positioning statement, unstick a bio that's been "good enough" for two years, or finally get a second brain on a career decision you've been circling. Come with the problem; leave with the fix.
Is a one-hour strategy session worth it if I'm not sure what kind of help I need?
That's actually the best reason to book one. If something's been on your to-do list long enough to feel embarrassing, that's your sign. You don't need a perfect brief — just bring whatever's stuck and we'll figure it out together.
